According to Mexican media, the meeting took place at the National Palace. Prior to this, Bachelet had visited the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, where she met with Foreign Minister Roberto Velasco Álvarez. The Mexican Foreign Ministry explained that the meeting was part of Mexico’s backing for Bachelet’s candidacy, which is supported alongside Brazil as part of the country’s commitment to strengthen a multilateralism characterized by leadership, experience, and adherence to international law, always oriented towards peace and the well-being of peoples.
